Description

The BP FlexiPort Fitting, 2-Tube - Pack of 10 is a set of original Welch Allyn FlexiPort blood pressure (BP) port fittings designed to connect two-tube BP devices and tubing to Welch Allyn FlexiPort blood pressure cuffs. Each PORT-2 fitting provides a standardized two-tube FlexiPort interface, enabling quick connection and disconnection of cuffs without repeatedly attaching and detaching tubing from the monitor. Supplied as a non-sterile accessory, these compact plastic fittings are used in hospitals, clinics and primary care settings to support routine non-invasive blood pressure measurement while simplifying cuff standardization across multiple devices.

Indications

Use as an accessory fitting to connect compatible Welch Allyn FlexiPort blood pressure cuffs to two-tube non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP) devices.

Usage

Intended for use by trained healthcare professionals familiar with non-invasive blood pressure equipment.
Identify the FlexiPort connection on the Welch Allyn blood pressure cuff and align the 2-tube FlexiPort fitting (PORT-2) with the cuff’s FlexiPort receptacle.
Press the fitting firmly into the FlexiPort cuff port until it snaps securely into place, confirming that both tubes are fully engaged.
Connect the opposite ends of the two tubes to the compatible BP device tubing or ports as specified by the monitor manufacturer or local configuration.
Before use on a patient, verify that the system inflates and deflates properly and that there are no air leaks at any connection point.
Use the fitting only for non-invasive blood pressure measurement; do not use for any invasive or sterile applications.
Clean and disinfect the fittings between patients according to local infection-control policies and the manufacturer’s recommendations for FlexiPort cuffs and accessories.

Contraindications

Not for invasive use or for connection to intra-arterial or other invasive pressure monitoring systems.
Do not use if the fitting is cracked, deformed or fails to lock securely into the FlexiPort cuff, as this may cause air leaks and inaccurate blood pressure readings.
Do not use with non-compatible devices or cuffs that are not designed for Welch Allyn FlexiPort connections.
Not intended for sterile procedures; do not use where sterile, single-use accessories are required.

Adverse Effects

No direct patient adverse effects are expected when used as a non-invasive connector.
Incorrect or loose connections may lead to inaccurate or failed blood pressure measurements, which could indirectly impact clinical decision-making if not recognised.

Storage Conditions
